5/14/2020: Hello PMES Families and Friends! We want to thank you for your patience as we have been working behind the scenes to figure out how to best proceed with many of our scheduled events for the Spring. Those of you who have been around for a few years know how incredibly BUSY springtime usually is for our PTA, and it has been challenging to work on things without being able to get together for meetings.
That being said, we are EXCITED to announce that we have a FUN, FAMILY-FRIENDLY event we will be holding on May 29, 2020: VIRTUAL BINGO BONANZA: QUARANTINE STYLE!
Why are we doing this?
💥We think it would be fun for families to have something POSITIVE & FUN to look forward to on a Friday night! We had a blast being "together" during our Teacher Appreciation Raffle last week, so we are hoping for the same effect with this event: laughter, a sense of community and feeling connected! (and lots of WINNING!)
💥We want to give away these AMAZING prizes, since many of them could be used now, while staying at home, or later this summer! Things like outdoor games, a fire pit, an air fryer, restaurant gift cards, a Nintendo Switch and so much more!
💥We did have to cancel other fundraisers for the spring with the closure, so this will be our last chance to try to meet our financial and budgetary goals for the year. We are looking forward to things like our Playground being built in the coming months, as the State of Maryland moves through the phases of reopening. We hope those who currently have a ticket will continue to support our PTA by attending this virtual event, since we are still trying to operate and still have expenses, even though school buildings are currently closed. So, all your support is appreciated, as well as all the other ways you have supported us throughout the year.
💥We don't want people to feel compelled to spend lots of money, since everyone's job situation may be a little different right now. Therefore, we have reduced the prices of our Raffles and Specials to hopefully be more affordable for those who are able to participate.
Please take a minute to read through the details in the attached document, as there are some things that will be a little different than a regular bingo. We also want everyone to understand what the event will entail, how you can win, and what will be required of winners. Included is what it means for ticket holders, what it means for those who wanted to come, but couldn’t for the original dates, and how YOU can win some of these prizes!
